Down a back street in Abbotsford, Skipping Girl Takeaway opened in August 2016. The premises used to be a milk bar and still has the old school feel when you walk in. Still looking like the old corner milk bar, it does however make it easy to pass by without knowing some great burgers are being pumped out of this kitchen.
All the buns are stamped with the skipping girl brand with a custom made hot iron. The fries are triple fried and the beef is cooked pink unless requested otherwise. This burger reminded me a lot of Tuckshop Takeaway, so if you are a fan of them, you will be a fan of these guys too.
Burgers range from $12 - $24 which is standard with extra patties coming in at $4. Something for the vegetarians, Skipping Girl Takeaway have 4 veggie burgers on their menu!
If you like sauce, this place is sauce crazy! The house sauce was enough for me, but if you like variety and want to mix things up, they have over 50 self serve sauces to choose from, including a whole range of house made oils/vinegar's to put on your fries.
For the super big eaters, they have a quad stacker - Yep, 4 whole burgers mashed into one tower (pic below). It comes in at around $60.
Last but not least, Skipping girl takeaway also do some awesome fried chicken and milk shakes as well as dessert burgers. Yes, Yes and more Yes! If you are around abbotsford and have a burger craving, this burger, fries and shake combo will hit the spot.
