Burger Review

Saki Souvlaki is a small eat in and takeaway joint situated opposite DFO in Cheltenham, it has around 5 tables inside and 3-4 tables outside.

I had a sneak peak at the menu before heading down, checked out their instagram feed and I was super excited. The burger menu is very broad. 15 burgers including 9 beef burgers all with decent 200g patties. The average burger at Saki Souvlaki is around $13.

The burger I ordered was originally $11.90, the extra patty was $5.50, bacon $2.50 and JalapeΓ±os $1.

A great looking burger when it came to the table, cheese melting down both patties, crispy bacon in the middle and a nice looking bun. The patties are lean with a 20% fat ratio and although tasty, I found them to be a little chewy. On a not so positive note the burgers were quite slow to come to the table during a non-busy period and the buns were ice cold.

Although not on the menu for some reason, Saki Souvlaki serve up one hell of a milkshake (pictured below). You have to ask for it specifically as the only reason I knew it existed was because someone else told me about them.

Also tested here was some souvlaki meat off the rotisserie and it was melt in your mouth goodness, on my next visit I will be adding some of that in the burger as it made a hell of a difference.
