F.A.T Fried & Tasty - 360 Lygon St, Brunswick East The fried chicken is everything you would want – crunchy coating, moist inside and full of flavour! The best on the menu? Can’t beat The Double Original.
Rizin’s Burgers - 727 Burke Rd, Camberwell The affordability factor is off the charts! Burgers start from only $9 but they taste just as good as any primo brand in town. The go-to here is the OG Fried Chicken.
MOFO Burgers - 100 Leicester St, Carlton Juicy beef patties and always the perfect cheese melt. So good, you have to go for the Double Mofo.
Sonny’s Fried Chicken - 29 Lygon St, Carlton Fried chicken is fantastic but have you seen this Triple Cheese Burger? This one’s easily a Top 5 of the best in Melbourne.
Franks - 97 Cavanagh St, Cheltenham One of the best café burgers in Melbourne with a top-notch milk bun.
Dandenong Pavilion - 55-61 Princes Hwy, Dandenong Big, loaded and always a good feed. From the OG menu, go the McDowell.
Match & Co - 13/14 109/79 Centre Dandenong Rd, Dingley Village One of the best fried chicken burgers from a café in Melbourne. Golden and comes standard as a double!
Nostimo & Co - 439 Glen Huntly Road, Elsternwick Some crazy combinations that just work! The Fried Chicken & Peanut Butter Burger is a home run.
PHAT Pizza Burgers - 79 Brighton Rd, Elwood Burgers start from $6.5 and they’ve got a few family-packs available for takeaway! The Phat Potato (with a potato cake) is the go-to.
Beats Burgers - 255 Keilor Rd, Essendon Big improvement since the new owners took over with loads of new burgs on the menu. The Double Summer Beats is a highlight.
Demazzi - 4/1142 Mt Alexander Rd, Essendon After creating the Lucky Mac for the boys back in 2015, it is hard to go past our own creation on any list.

College Dropout Burgers - 91 Upper Heidelberg rd, Ivanhoe From the team behind ‘Nuts About Tella’, these guys might be new to the burger game but they’re gonna be here to stay! The go-to is the College Dropout.
Home to Roost - 146 Burke Rd, Malvern East It’s not often we recommend grilled chicken over fried but hot damn! These guys make a mean grilled chicken burger, plus their charcoal chooks are spot on, every time.
Gorilla Grill - 36 Edgewater Blvd, Maribyrnong Easily the best waffle burger in Melbourne, the Krusty Chicken is 10/10. Maribyrnong.
Tucker Burger - 223 Tucker Rd, McKinnon When you see beef, fried chicken and bacon without needing any mods, you know you've found a winner. That's the Paris Twice Burger.
Slicks Burgers - 45 Geddes St, Mulgrave Damn good burgers from an ex Vue De Monde chef, these guys aren’t messin’ around when it comes to great burgs! Top pick is the ‘Slick Rick with a Chick’.
That’s Alotta Donuts - 382 High St, Northcote Surprisingly tasty burgs coming out of a donut shop. Grab the Southern Fried Chicken and a 6-pack of cream-filled donuts while you’re at it!
Burger Basement - 3/1 Pascoe St, Pascoe Vale Injectable cheese syringes are available with takeaway burgers when you order direct! The Double Stack is a hefty, but great feed!
Northside Broadway - 251/255 Broadway, Reservoir They launched a new menu just before lockdown 6.0 and the Karaage Chicken Burger is hella crispy!
Burger Bae - 80 Station St, Sandringham Quality everything – from the buns to the sauce and everything in-between. The Peanut Butter Bae is off the charts and a must-try burger for everyone Available single, double and triple!
Leonard’s House of Love - 3 Wilson St, South Yarra A top 10 in Melbourne. Quality beef, fried chicken, and the cheese melt is always on point, get the Double!
300 Grams - Northcote and Coburg Seriously good smashed patties. The Cheeseburger is the way to go and make it a Double Double.
Burger Road - Plenty, Fairfiel, Hawthorn, Werribee, Burnside Love the fried chicken from Burger Road, so go for the Hen’nifer Lopez.
Burgertory - Prahran, St Kilda, Southbank, Footscray, Black Rock, Niddrie, Bulleen, Braybrook, Werribee. 9 locations around Melbourne with a cool ‘7 Deadly Sins’ menu. Sloth is the go-to burger, can't go past the smashed patties!
Butler’s Smokehouse - Cheltenham and Dandenong American-style burgers, wings, and seriously thick shakes to boot. For a good kick of heat, go for the Double Southern Style Burger.
Fat Jaks - St Kilda, Altona, Clayton All-American style burgers where the fried chicken reigns supreme. An all-time favourite is the 'Luck Of The ‘Chook' but a side of their signature Mac N Cheese Bites is a must.
Pattysmiths - Flemington, Moorabbin, Templestowe & Caroline Springs. Their smashed patties are some of the best in town. Can’t go wrong with a Double Cheese Burger.

Stanley Burgers - Scoresby and Ringwood We don’t often recommend triple chicken but it’s worth it in this case! Load up the Amalfi burger!
